What if…
Ten situations in which a beginner gets stuck most often — and what to do about them.
I cannot type
You are most likely in the approved version: the bar shows main with a lock and there is a yellow bar above the page. Start or open a draft (the chapter Your first draft). The other possibility: you are looking at an earlier version from the history — there is a bar above the page with a Back to live button.
I do not see my changes in colour
Your own fresh typing is left uncoloured on purpose. The bar reads “Your edits”; click Show as revisions to see them like other changes. If no changes show at all, check whether the Markup button is switched off.
A colleague does not see my changes
Your changes are in a draft; the colleague is probably looking at the approved version. Either they open your draft from the draft menu, or you accept the changes and publish them.
I cannot publish
Does the app say “Nothing to publish yet”? Nothing is accepted. Go through the changes and accept them (✓) — one by one in the document, or all at once in the Changes panel.
I deleted a document
At the bottom of the Documents panel, click Deleted documents and then Restore on the document.
I overwrote something by mistake
At once: ⌘Z. Later: ✗ (Discard change) on the card of the change. Later still: File history and Restore this version. As long as you have not published, the approved version is untouched.
The agent did something I do not want
Its changes are work in progress — discard them one by one (✗), or all through ⋮ → Discard all. Nothing got into the approved version without you.
The agent does not answer, or reports an error
The agent runs on an AI account connected by your company or by you (Account → My AI accounts). If it says the account is missing or used up, turn to your administrator.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in page, click Forgot your password?. You get an e-mail with a link to set a new one.
The invitation did not arrive
Look in your spam folder. If it is not there, or the link has expired, ask your company’s administrator to send the invitation again.
